The 4-1-1
Gregory's a Somers Point institution built on family ties
The Gregory family is well-known in South Jersey, having owned and operated Gregory's Restaurant and Bar for more than 65 years. But the real roots of their bar business begin back in Prohibition-era Philadelphia. Because of this long-standing knowledge and success, Gregory's has become known by locals and summer visitors alike as one of Somers Point's greatest nightlife havens.
"We are a place of quality, value and goodwill," co-owner Gregory Gregory says. "Walt, the other co-owner, will tell you that we're friendly, local and fun, so even though our opinions are a little different, the views are both extremely positive."
Visit Gregory's any night of the week for a special theme night, such as their Taco Tuesdays and Thursdays, Karaoke on Wednesdays or a live DJ set by DJ Ralph on Saturdays. For the big welcome-to-summer weekend ahead of us, Gregory's will be refreshed and ready to welcome their favorite out-of-towners with live music on the outdoor patio, as well as DJ sets and tons of fun all weekend long.

What To Expect: "We are an interactive, fun place," Gregory Gregory says. "We have karaoke for sing-alongs, DJ Ralph is a local and knows everybody. We bring in live jazz, as well as young, local talent. We've even done comedy shows with the likes of Carrot Top, so we really do it all. It's a close and personal venue, where you can be a part of the show while you're watching it."
Bottoms Up: Gregory's prides itself on having professional bartenders behind the bar, including some who have worked there for upwards of 20 years. One of the happiest hours to visit Gregory's is on Wednesdays, when they offer three-for-one Pilsners in an old-style bar glass - a throwback to the 1960s.
Signature Dishes: Gregory's is known for its live lobster tank, housing 1.5-pound and larger cold-water, hardshell Maine lobsters, which you can order during the early bird special for $19.99. They also are debuting an evolutionary artisan sandwich menu Memorial Day weekend, filled with new wraps, paninis and classic sandwiches.
