A man and a woman were found dead Sunday afternoon by a housekeeping employee in their hotel room at Revel, police said.
Atlantic City police were called to Revel at 1:40 p.m. after the housekeeping employee contacted security.
The unidentified man was 56 and the woman was 21. Police said both the man and the woman were New Jersey residents.
Several Atlantic City police vehicles were parked in front of Revel's main entrance and valet area Sunday afternoon, including a Crime Scene Investigation SUV.
Atlantic City police Detectives Edward Riegel and David Smith investigated the incident. An investigator with the Atlantic County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted a preliminary examination of the bodies.
Sgt. Monica McMenamin said no investigators went to the scene from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit.
The bodies of the man and woman were transported from Revel by the medical examiner for autopsies that are scheduled to be conducted at 6 p.m.
Revel spokeswoman Maureen Siman said Sunday evening that all inquiries regarding the discovery were being directed to Atlantic City Police Department.
